The salty sea breeze and misty mornings over Hong Kong’s fishing harbors hold the city’s warmest memories. The chug of returning boats, the calls of pier vendors, the scent of fresh seafood—this is where our story began. With love for those harbor days, and a promise not to let these flavors fade.
As the city changes, some of those old tastes are slipping away. The hearty dishes cooked on boats, the rich broths made with fresh catch—they’re part of Hong Kong’s soul.
For over 20 years, we’ve been part of the Ap Lei Chau community. We’ve listened to our neighbors—the seniors living alone, the busy families, the care home residents. They need more than a quick meal; they need nourishment made with heart.
This isn’t just about food. It’s about the people and stories behind it—the fishermen’s deep bond with the sea, their hard work and wisdom. We want to share these stories, bringing the flavors of the harbor to the streets, so more people can taste the sea’s gifts and remember the culture that shaped our city.
We also stand by the traditions born in these harbors—the temple incense, the lion dance drums, the dragon boat races. They bind our community. Our original intent wasn’t just a feeling—it was a promise to care for this place and its people.
This is only the first chapter.
Let’s keep writing the story together.
